Fly Flatts

Single Dunlin present

                                    5 Oystercatchers >SE

                                        Curlew on the shore
                                    Few Meadow Pipits

A bright sunny morning at Fly Flatts with clear blue skies and full sun at 10 degrees but a nice cooling
SSE >3.
A single Dunlin was in the SE corner this morning, possibly new in, or one of the previous birds that has been in hiding on my recent visits. Also 8 Redshank, 2 Common Sandpiper and 3 Oystercatchers, whilst 5 Oystercatchers flew over the water, high from the NW and heading >SE.
Just 2 female Wheatear on the west bank but otherwise very quiet. A matter of waiting and watching for the next wave of birds to come through now though this high pressure weather front has slowed the job down.
Tons of exposed shore so, bring on the waders. Sanderling, Black Tailed Godwit and Turnstone should be next to show as well as passing Terns, says he, hopefully!!!
Another bright morning tomorrow with sunshine on a light E turning NE and then SE, kicking off at 8 degrees.
