Back to the waders, Fly Flatts

                                        1 of 5 female Wheatear

                                    At least 3 Dunlin

                                        4 Common Sandpiper
                                    6 Oystercatcher new in.

                                    Meadow Pipits numbers well down.

                                            Several Curlew

A bright sunny morning with a white ground frost at 2 degrees but feeling milder in a very light ENE>2 with clear visibility other than the distorting heat shimmer, even at 2 degrees.
Yet again, my plan to do a good check of the west bank and north shore was thwarted with firstly, I  had to stay around the compound and south shore area waiting for a skip collection from the compound, which surprisingly did'nt turn up, but otherwise YW were working on the west bank doing survey work so my watch was spent around the compound, scoping the east bank and peninsular , as well as checking the south bank and lagoons.
Plenty to watch, wader-wise with Redshank, Dunlin, Common Sandpiper and 6 Oystercatchers on passage. All this as well as several Curlew and Lapwing whilst 5 female Wheatear were around the lagoon area. Its looking like the Ruff is well on its way with no sign again this morning
Plenty Swallows >SE but no Swifts today and still to get a first House Martin.
A cloudy sunshine morning on a light ENE starting at 7 degrees. More cloud for the afternoon.
