Back at Fly Flatts

Redshanks and Oystercatcher out on the peninsular.

                                1 of 2 Dunlin

                                Ringed Plover still present.

A better morning at Fly Flatts with 90% cloud and only brief views of the sun. A cool NE>4 at 7 degrees.
Slightly less heat shimmer today so a bit easier for scoping the distant shores. The fire brigade were still on the south shore with water continuing to be pumped out of the reservoir, which is good for me but not for the sailors, with some small islands beginning to be exposed offshore.
Much the same as yesterday but no sign of the Ruff today though yesterdays Ringed Plover was still present along with 4 Common Sandpiper, 2 Dunlin,1 Oystercatcher and 10 Redshank.
A single Black Headed gull was an unusual sight at this time of year on the north shore along with just the one LBB gull. Only 2 Swallows >N and still no second wave of Swifts plus I've yet to see my first House Martin of the year.
A Heron flew >N over the water whilst the usual Curlews and Lapwings were present.
Another morning of cloudy sunshine promised for morning with a slightly stronger NNE starting off at 5 degrees.
