Much of a muchness, Leeshaw.

The goose field alive with birds

                                   3 of 18 Curlew

                                    Usual Oystercatchers.

                                    2 LBB gulls present
                                    Large flocks of Starlings
                                    1 of 2 Redshank.

A hazy Leeshaw with the usual fog on the tops. Full cloud with a cold moderate NE>5 at 2 degrees.
Nothing untoward from yesterdays visit and no Whooper flyovers this morning in the low cloud.
All the activity today was in the large goose field with a real mix of species, with Oystercatchers, Redshank, Lapwings, Curlew, Starlings, Stock Doves and Woodpigeons as well as Canadas and Greylags. This field was the only real shelter today which held the birds throughout.
Only 30 small gulls on the water along with 3 Herring and 2 LBBs and otherwise just the usual stuff.
Another depressing forecast for tomorrow with rain on a moderate easterly and a continuation of the fog through until at least Tuesday.

An amendment of yesterdays blog with the count of Whooper Swans over Leeshaw should have read 96 as opposed to the misprint of 196. The problem being, they don't design keyboard tabs for mechanics fingers.
