Back home to a windy Fly Flatts

                                    2 Ringed Plover present.

                                    Flock of 10 Lapwing
                                    Wild water

At long last, a clear morning with good visibility on a moderate, gusting strong, SW>5 at 24 mph gusting 6 at 26  mph. Full cloud cover at a mild 5 degrees.
Understandably, not much sky movement in the blustery wind other than 4 Curlew, a single Raven and a small flock of 10 Lapwing, the latter settling on the south shore along with 3 Oystercatchers nearby.
The hardy pair of Ringed Plover were on the east bank standing head to the wind before both feeding on the cobble bank. The first winter Ringed Plover, probably their off-spring from last year, seems to have moved on now.
The first 2 Meadow Pipits have arrived in the compound area whilst the over-wintering pair of Reed Bunting are still present.
A real blustery morning but feeling good to be able to get back up there.
Nothing swan like on Cold Edge or Mixenden as I drove past.
Tomorrows forecast looks about the same with showers but slightly less windy with a southerly >4.
