A wild morning at Fly Flatts with a strong
W-5 gusting 6 with dark clouds and a few showers with some sun at 11 degrees.
The wind built up even more during the afternoon, so much so that sailing had to be cancelled.
Possibly due to the wind, the morning was very quiet with just 2 Common Sandpipers and a single male Ringed Plover present on the near shore but very difficult scopeing in the wind so the waders could have been anchored down on the north west shore in the lee of the wind.
Several Lapwing were on the Flat Moor with a Kestrel overhead whilst the sky over the water was once again alive with Swallows and Swifts.
A pair of Tufted duck were on the water whilst the majority of Greylag goslings took their maiden flight today.
No big gull arrival as yet with just a dozen LBBs over SE. A wet and windy week coming up promised so hopes of gulls and Terns through.
Going to try a seperate plug in keyboard tomorrow to see if that works for now.
