Pleasant but steady, Fly Flatts.

Still 2 Ringed Plovers present but soon out of range for the 300mm

A pleasant but cold morning at Fly Flatts with broken cloud at 2 degrees on a SW>3 turning W>4.
A beautiful morning to be up in the solitude of Fly Flatts though birding was poor with just the usual geese and Mallard on the water, apart from 2 LBB gulls dropping in briefly.
No sky movement other than 2 Raven and a very high Heron >W.
The east bank held the 2 Ringed Plover on their 7th day present but they were working their way on the east bank so soon got out of range of the 300 mm lens even with a 1.4 converter fitted.
Lapwings and Golden Plover were on the 'Fill Belly Flat' but no great numbers as yet. Canada numbers are increasing daily with continuous noise of their scrabbling to get sorted into pairs whilst Curlews are getting established on the moors.
