Still 2 Ringed Plovers present this morning
The Barnacles are there daily now.
Full cloud cover this morning and very cold at 1 degree on a NE>4 but the first morning for 3 days with good visibility.
Quite busy today but most species very distant over the western ridge and Tatty Pie Hill areas. The 2 Ringed Plovers were still on the east bank this morning but only 1 to be found late afternoon whilst a single Oystercatcher was on the shore in the NW corner along with several Lapwing and 3 Curlew.
A bit of sky watching produced a single Snipe over Fill Belly Flat along with 4 Golden Plover, 2 very noisy Raven and a very high LBB gull.
The first Buzzard that I,ve seen for quite a while at this site was quartering over the western ridge.
Canadas are up to nearly 200 now along with the 2 Barnacles which can be picked up easily with the unique noise they make. Another day without a returning Wheatear but should be due for a Ring Ouzel shortly, my first last year arrived on the 16th of this month.
