Back with the gulls and a unusual visitor for Leeshaw.

Strange how the small gulls always form a circle in the field.
A very unusual visitor to Leeshaw, Stonechat.
                                             A decent morning for Herrings

Just the 1 LBB again, not very popular just now.

A very dark morning at Leeshaw with a low cloud base but visibility below the clouds.
A cold NW>4 brought continuous drizzle turning to rain at 2 degrees.
A single male Stonechat was a surprise, being an uncommon visitor, though it didnt seem to hang around long. Just 27 Greylag in the big field and 11 Mallard on the water.
Otherwise it was down to studying the gulls with several Herrings of all age groups but only a single Lesser Black Backed along with the usual swarms of small gulls.
A light westerly and rain for tomorrow which probably means the foggy season will continue with Fly Flatts being unworkable yet again.
