Small skein of 52 Pink Footed geese over Fly Flatts
Distant to the north of the Nab going >SE
Back to Fly Flatts today with no sign of fog and very little sign of birds. A cold S>4 reading 8 degrees but feeling much colder in the wind and full cloud cover. By late afternoon the wind had increased to
S>5-6 with dark skies.
A small skein of Pinkies saved the morning heading SE to cross over Ogden and Soil Hill passing me to the north of the Nab near to the Oxenhope watch point.
Otherwise it was down to 7 Canadas on the water and 2 Raven.
The afternoon session produced 9 Canadas on the water and that was it though it gave me chance to organize 2 winter feeding stations up there with a choice of seed in the hopes of inviting something down.
A stop off at Mixenden on the way home midday found 2 Ring Necked Parakeets in the usual tree near to the school. Residents tell me there are at least 6 birds around at the moment which now seem resident.
