Same scenario, Fly Flatts

Fly Flatts 1500 hrs and a carbon copy of yesterday with once again low scud clouds over the moor to the west bringing sheets of drizzle on a very strong W>6 at 27.7 m.p.h. with100 % cloud cover.
During the last 15 minutes of the watch the sky started clearing to the west and the wind began to easy.Hopefully tomorrows forecast of a light south westerly will get things back on the move.
Bird wise  the shore and water were empty with just a few species in the air but  no sign of movers and everything either distant or skulking out of the wind.
7 Kestrel
1 Buzzard
2 Snipe
3 Red Grouse
1pr Stonechat
1 Reed Bunting
1 Woodpigeon.
Several Pipestrelle bats over Foxhill park trees last light this evening so there must still be enough insects around.
A chase up of my Canon 7d Mk 2 today found it at last out of the assessment ward and into theatre for a lcd screen transplant and re alignment so hopefully it,ll soon be back home and re attached to its favourite lens Big Bertha leaving me in shock after paying the estimated repair price of £350. That,ll teach me to be more careful in future.
