Back to the wild wind. Fly Flatts. pm

A late afternoon visit to Fly Flatts found the wind had increased to strong SW>6 with 90 % cloud cover and clear visibility.
Amazingly quiet to say we,re nearly into the second week of October and over half way through the vis mig period and still getting very poor movement.
The group of 53 Mallard were on the peninsular but a good scan through found nothing mixed in with them whilst another 4 Goosander headed >NE, a rare species for this site.
LBB gulls moved >SW and 2 Wheatear were across on Robin rock but none found at Nolstar. Raptors were out in force with 5 Kestrel, 1 Peregrine, 1 Merlin and 2 Buzzard.
Ironically the birds of the day were not at Fly Flatts but 2 minutes from home with a single Fieldfare in with Starlings dropping into trees on the rugby pitch and 2 more Fieldfare as I was on the way home as I passed the Raggalds.
Mentioning Starling, the flocks are building around Queensbury now with several flocks over 50 strong.
Still no joy with the pictures so I try pressing a few more buttons and see what happens although it would help if I knew what I was doing.
