Waders on the move

Several of our reservoirs are slowly starting to show shoreline and if the heavy rain keeps away we should still be in time to bring in the waders.
A single Oystercatcher and 2 Curlew were reported to me today on the shoreline at Ogden by an early dog walker whilst Oxenhope held a good variety of around 9 species of  wader including Turnstone and Whimbrel, DP , KM.
A visit to the garden Canada goose family today was pleasing with still 5 well grown goslings along with the parent birds. Hopefully the young will fledge and fly from the garden.
