Old Guy Rd a.m., Harp Lane p.m.

Views from Harp Lane

 Over Thornton church and Shipley Glen to Whetstone Gate.

A before work check on Old Guy Road cricket pitch found the usual sp. with
3 Skylark
2m 1f Pied Wagtail
8 juv Pied Wagtails
11 Meadow Pipit
32 Starling.

Lunchtime found a large flock of Chaffinch in bushes along Slack End, Swalesmoor, being about 30, before they dropped down into the valley. Two Kestrels were in the air and a steady flow of LBB gulls >NW.
A Pheasant was calling from Shibden valley which is a bit unusual for down there,

Harp Lane this evening found several Blue and Gt Tits , 2 Dunnocks and a very active Willow Warbler.
Skywatching east across the valley just picked up a few small gulls, several Swallow but no Swifts.

  A good gathering of Golden Plover at Leeshaw Reservoir.
