A pre work visit to Roper Lane watch point this a.m. found very little moving with just a few Swallow >SW but interesting to see what was probably the Fly Flatts Barnacle goose in with 38 Canadas in fields below Roper Lane, a first for Queensbury.
Ogden late afternoon was alive with Cormorants , mainly juvs, with a count of 11. Plenty gulls were around the shoreline whilst 1 juv and 1 adult Gt Crested Grebe were on the water. A diving duck looked interesting at the opposite side of the water but by the time I,d scurried round there it was in the middle so photos were well over digitalized but it turned out to be a female Tufted.
As I went back across the prom a Curlew kept letting out a whistle from somewhere along the NW shoreline but could,nt be seen.
Excellent conditions at Ogden at the moment , Prediction for Ogden,,,,, Little Egret in the NW corner area !!
