Queensbury Today

2 of 4 Collared Doves in the garden
                                         Taken through glass

Another hot day but not just as unbearable as yesterday although it was 26 deg in the garage which didnt make the job any easier.
Four Collared Doves are visiting the garden daily now which is highly unusual and these can be heard from 0600hrs each morning calling from the telegraph poles. When the daughters were young and we used to holiday in North Norfolk,( nothing to do with the birding, honest,) Collared Doves were heard all day and the girls used to call them coo birds.
As Trady remarked, strange things are happening in the gardens.
Three Common gulls circled Foxhill park midday before leaving >NW without landing, this being 9 days earlier than last year when the first 5 landed in the park on July 17th.
Plenty Swifts soaring the skies on these warm evenings, otherwise all quiet.
A report today from a customer of a Buzzard soaring high over Littlemoor Park around 1600hrs yesterday before it drifted >S. This is the second such report in the last 2 month.
