Mixenden/ Cold Edge and back to Fly Flatts

1 of the few Curlews left on the moor
                                  Snipe passing the turbines
                                                LBBs moving through
                                       Plenty juv Starlings

Another red hot day reaching 30 deg c mid pm but thankfully clouding slightly early evening.
My planned tea time venues fell victim to the weather with firstly Mixenden res heaving with people around the banking, secondly Cold Edge Dams had ski boats on the top dam and sun worshippers on the lower dam so back to Fly Flatts, which still had boats on the water and a few people walking near the ponds.
The sightings were as this morning apart from 4 Snipe and several LBB gulls dropping onto the water before moving off again >N.
Going in the garden now to do my rain dance.
