Woodpigeons on the move
Sun up, Chapel Lane
An Autumnal Chapel Lane graveyard.
A bright sunny day but clear blue cloudless skies , not the thing for birding but exception to the rule was Woodpigeons moving >S from first light. Most of these flocks were far to the east of the garage with a few small groups of up to 30 coming overhead, all was quiet after 1000hrs.
One nice group of 27 came over as I was in the doorway talking to AC who earlier had clocked c3500 over his watch site, see Andys Northowram Wildlife blog.
Lunchtime at Foxhill saw me armed up with camera and nothing to take, the skies were empty the full 360 deg as far as the eye could see.
