Ogden ,late pm

Resident Mink living in the south banking cobbles

                                Female Tufted still present

                                              BHGs on the water

                                         Juv Dunnock.

An ideal Tern moving evening at Ogden with a mild SW>4, grey skies and light drizzle bringing plenty gulls in but no Terns.
BHGs were coming in from the south and settling on the water building up to c150 and then eventually leaving again south towards Mixenden. Several LBBs went >E towards the roost  with a few Commons mixed in.
The resident Mink has now moved from the north end of the reservoir to the south banking under the cobbles which probably explains the late family of 6 Mallard now down to 2, the little yellow one being the latest victim, or it could of course be the Heron or LBB gulls.
Thanks to Peter Turner for reporting yet another Little Owl seen on his dog walking travels, this time near Coley church, they seem to be making a bit of a comeback this year.
