Herring gulls on the move

Eleven Herring gull counted throughout the day >NE over Queensbury today all heading up the Aire valley which is an unusual direction for them at this time of year but the strong WNW wind could have been making them veer from their usual course of >W and >NW. All were in ones or twos.
Swallows were also noticeable from midday on with several over >S in migration mode whilst several bloggers were feeding over the park.
Hopefully the usual Bank Holiday low pressure and rain will bring us some much awaited Terns and Waders over.
