Ogden, 1600-1750hrs.
Fifth and final attempt today at the Ogden Spotted Flycatchers and Whinchats proved to be the fifth and final dip. Down in the valley was strangely deserted with not a single passerine in sight other than 1 Blackbird although there were several golfers about but that doesnt usually seem to bother them.
Time to draw a line under them now and move on.
The reservoir held around 130 BHGs , several in moult showing no black wing trailing edge, made me look twice for Med gull to start with. Just 4 LBBs and 1 Common gull, all of which started to leave towards Mixenden.
Yet another visit with an empty camera.
Although warm today the skies have remained grey so hopefully there,ll be something good waiting at Fly Flatts in the morning.
