South down the Calder valley from the Withins track
Soil Hill now with its own wind turbine.
A hot sunny day till late afternoon when a few heavy showers appeared followed by a thunderstorm.
The water at Ogden was deadly quiet with only the usual mallards and Canadas so after Id done the gull count , 1 Black Headed, I walked the track from Ogden to Withins by the golf course. I have never got any half decent birds on this walk and today was no exception with 6 Meadow pipits still carrying food and 2 Carrion Crows, otherwise empty skies as far as the eye could see. All that way and come back with just these two lousy views.
As I am typing this at 1945hrs another storm is approaching and hundreds of Swifts are moving ahead of it >S and very high.
