A deteriorating day with drizzle and low cloud p.m. pushed on by a fresh SW>4 but brightening up during the evening.
NK on his Queensburybirder blog described today well as " A virtual vacuum for birds ", after he,d done his rounds and came in the garage a broken man. Having said that, he,ll be back up on that hill before the end of the week.
No gull movement for me today what so ever with just a few Swifts moving >SW late afternoon and several Goldfinch in the trees around the edge of the park.
Sad news from Mark Murray on finding a dead Little Owl by the roadside at Causeway Foot.
For those of you that dont know Mark, he,s the birder that actually found and photographed a FIRECREST in his Queensbury area garden a few years back, it dont get better than that. Thanks for watching the blog Mark.
