Gulls and Swifts

Another day of heavy prolonged showers on a northerly breeze drying up by early evening.
Gulls and Swifts provided the entertainment today with up to 40 LBBs counted throughout the day in various directions. A drive past the Raggalds tonight found nothing on the floods and about 20 LBBs and a few Black Headed on the football pitches.
At midday good numbers of Swift were moving >SW in the grey skies over Foxhill and again this evening.
We,re almost at the point now where you start making a note of the date when you see a Swift just in case its your last of the year.
