Zero degrees at Ogden.

                                    1 of 8 Bullfinch

                                    1 of 4 Goldcrest

                                        Usual Goosander

                                    Snapping the Black Headed gulls

A gorgeous morning at Ogden, weather wise, with full sunshine on a light NE>2 at a crisp 0 degrees.
An icy drive to Ogden with Ned Hill a bit exciting but once you've turned the top corner you're committed, so have to keep going.
The water is right to the top now and gushing down the overflow, which means no shoreline weeds, so no Teal, Wigeon, Tufted or Chaffinch, with just the Mallards and the long staying Goosander on the water as well as about 20 Black Headed and 2 Herring gull.
I stuck to the west and north banks only after being told that the east bank was badly waterlogged and deep in mud, so not wanting to bath the dogs I stayed clear.
A good count of 8 Bullfinch were feeding in the Alders whilst 4 Goldcrest, plus a few Blue Tits, were present, along with the usual Wrens, Robins, Blackbirds and Dunnocks. Still keeping very sparce for Siskin and Redpoll even though there is an abundance of fruit on all the Alder trees.
A chance of rain and snow tomorrow on a moderate SW at 1 degree.
