Another wave of Teal for Ogden

                                    Usual Tufteds

                                    Plenty Black Headed
                                    More Teal arriving
                                Several Chaffinch, no Brambling
                                Goosander in the dark inlet
                                    Teal dropping in

                                    Few Herring and LBB present

Another wet start at Ogden with early heavy rain but soon clearing to part cloud and sunshine on a light W>3 at 5 degrees.
A group of  14 Teal dropped into the water just as the last of the rain cleared totalling 18 on the water along with 6 Tufted and the long staying Goosander. The water also held around 50 small, 4 Herring and 8 LBB gulls.
A good move first thing with a high count of Fieldfare and Redwing heading >S along with a good count of Woodpigs >SW. All the waterside tree action this morning was on the east bank with Bullfinch, Chaffinch and Siskin but once again all very mobile and never settling to feed. The west bank trees were void of bird life.
Plenty birders wandering around the Soil Hill area in hopes of a Black Redstart sighting. One pair of birders had come from Doncaster.
Another day of cloud and chance of rain, especially in the morning( no change there then), on a strong SW at a milder 11 degrees.
