A bright start to the morning
A lit up sky to the south
Common and Black Headed gulls on the water
A good tit flock present, Blue Tit
Long Tailed Tit
Sparrowhawk flyover.
As promised with yesterdays weather forecast there was a dry window this morning after overnight heavy rain then rain today from midday. The morning was dry and bright with some sunshine giving some weird yellow sky patterns. A moderate WSW>5 was blowing across the promenade at 6 degrees.
A livelier day with a good Tit flock moving through the west bank riverside trees comprising of around 30 birds including Great, Blue and Long Tailed Tit as well as Goldcrest and Treecreeper. A Sparrowhawk went overhead but kept high so not causing any problems, whilst a Raven headed towards Fly Flatts.
The water held around 70 gulls, all being Common and Black Headed with no Herring or LBB present, whilst the female Goosander was back on the water as well as a single Cormorant.
Looking like another dry morning tomorrow and wet afternoon with a wind warning for strong to gale force sou'westerlies.
