The car had to be in Halifax for 0830 hrs this morning for the MOT leaving me with 2 hours to pass while it was done. First stop was the Sainsburys area, where I saw a group of Siskin a couple of days ago, and soon located them near the petrol station with around 8 birds up in the Alders, whilst a bit further on there were 2 Grey Wagtails down in the beck and a Dipper flew downstream.
The Parish church trees held 4 Redwing and around 6 Blackbirds with more Redwing by Wickes but very few berry trees available. This time last year I was photographing Waxwings opposite the RSPCA kennels but no berries on those trees and no Waxwing reports as yet.
A group of 3 Fieldfare were in the trees by the Range along with a few Goldfinch whilst several small gulls were on the Home Bargains rooftop.
Not a bad mornings birding though no camera today with just me and a stack of druggies in the town centre so thought it wise to leave it at home. Finished the morning off with an MOT pass which was good but then in the afternoon we called at a store in Halifax and I forgot to put Lyndas disabled badge on the dashboard and we came out to a parking ticket for parking in a disabled space whilst not displaying a blue badge. That'll teach me to remember next time.
Not looking good for morning with a near calm NNE and a ton of fog throughout the day.
