Fly Flatts buzzing + first trans Pennine Pinks moving.

5 Skeins of Pink Footed Geese over
All well to the South and North of me
First move of the trans Pennine geese, East to West.

A group of 7 Golden Plover was a surprise

A bright spring like morning.  West Bank
                                   The Nab

A bright clear morning with the expected easterly mist hanging down in the valleys. Partial cloud by mid watch on a light SSW>2 turning S at 7 degrees.
Unlike yesterday the area was buzzing this morning with several small passerines in and around the compound as well as down the entrance track. BH gulls were on the water as well as Mallard and Canada Geese whilst there was plenty going on in the air.
A large flock of Woodpigeon headed >SW along with an equally large flock of Fieldfare >SE but impossible to tell at this time of year whether they can be classed as migration birds or just a roost breaking up and birds establishing themselves.
As the watch was drawing to a close I got my first trans Pennine Pink Footed Geese heading East to West but at distance to the North and South of me. The birds to the north passing over the Oxenhope air space whilst the birds to the south looking to be over the Brighouse area.
Also good to get 7 Golden Plover over very fast and high heading >NE, a species that I,ve had very few of this year.
Looking decent for tomorrow but a light east wind so it all depends on the fog. Tonight from Queensbury a large bank of fog was showing all along the horizon to the far east so anything could happen.
