a.m. Ring Ouzel on the north end
Male Wheatear on the east shore
p.m. bird back at the south end around the boatyard.
Fly Flatts was showery am and at the beginning of the late afternoon watch on a SW>5 turning W>4.
Very quiet around the shoreline and on the water but the male Ring Ouzel was more than enough to keep me occupied.
I first located it early morning on the NE shore below the vertical fence, as yesterday, then by late afternoon it was on the east banking before moving back into the boatyard giving excellent views where DJS watched it from the top road.
The male Wheatear was still present on the east shore but very illusive whilst a pair of Stonechat and 2 male Blackbirds were in the area. A large flock of around 150 Lapwings were in the air, distant over Nab Water Lane.
I,ve got plenty Blackbird/Thrush food down in several areas which may hold on to the Ouzel although it never seems short on worms in the soft ground.
