LEESHAW Oystercatchers sheltering from the wind.
Up to 200 lapwing present.
Little Owl
FLY FLATTS 1 pair of hardy Stonechat.
Curlews paired up in the fields.
A blustery morning at Leeshaw with a strong SW>5 with sunshine and showers.
A bit of a repeat of yesterdays visit but a few Herring gulls through >W . No squabbling Grey Wagtails today with just 1 Pied in the outlet. As yesterday the birds were keeping their heads down in the wind.
Late afternoon at Fly Flatts was again very windy with some very black clouds and very little in bird life.
Another walk on the west bank found it very quiet on the water front with just a few Canadas and Mallards and nothing in the way of waders other than 3 pair of Curlew with 4 birds in the top fields and 2 over the wind turbines.
Back in the SE corner a pair of Stonechat didnt seem to mind the wind as they flitted about between the fencing and walls.
