Fly Flatts, still picking up waders.

A single buzzard over the west moor

Distant Dunlin on the east shoreline
The 3 dots, 2 Goldies and a Dunlin on the waters edge

May be an over wintering bird.
Last of the sun over the western ridge.

No Pinkies over Fly Flatts this visit  starting at 1500 hrs until 1615 hrs, last light.
Bright cloudy sunshine on a W>4 but a dark bank of cloud blanked out the last 15 minutes of sun bringing fading light from 1600 hrs so an earlier finish and still 7 weeks to go to the shortest day, not a good thought.
A record count of 63 Mallard were on the peninsular with 7 Golden Plover behind them along with a single Dunlin. This is probably the same bird that has been sighted over the last few weeks and probably an over wintering bird though I,m sure it will have to move to lower ground before the bad weather sets in.
A Buzzard soared over Tatie Pie Hill briefly but was soon lost in the sun whilst a Kestrel hovered in the same area.
Back at the south shore a last 15 minutes of sky watching produced 15 Herring gulls all >NE but by the now the light was insufficient to get any details from them age wise etc so a quick slurp of coffee and back to base.
Good to see JM up on the top road giving it a coat of looking at.
