Raggalds Flood.

                                       126 Lapwing present
6 BH gulls but no wildfowl.

           Very mobile but soon returned

With a full schedule this afternoon I was left with 30 minutes spare so off to the nearest venue, Raggald Flood late afternoon in bright but cool conditions with a light SW>4.
No wildfowl present but a nice building flock of 126 Lapwing along with around 40 Starling and 6 BH gulls. The Lapwing were very fidgety lifting off at regular intervals and flying a circuit before landing again. The water is now receding fast but tomorrows promised rain may top it up again. Only a matter of time before Goldies start showing in with the flock.
Very quiet otherwise today with no reports of anything special in the area.
Nice tonight not to have to struggle to get the dogs out into the garden amidst the constant banging of fireworks. Hopefully its all over now until New Years eve.
