Some amazing views this morning with fog in the valleys and a keen frost with snow on the hills after last nights blizzard.
A decent mornings birding and nice variety of birds but hard work with everything distance and to scan for hence the lack of bird pics.
My first Swallow flew across the front of the car at Withins Gap and later on a wave of 15 came low over the water >N. Seemed strange to have Swallows as well as 4 Wheatear in the snow.
Snipe were about in force whilst raptor wise over the moor were 1 Buzzard, 1 Peregrine, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel and a SEO.
4 Goosander were unusual but knowing this timid species when up on the highlands I took a distant shot on the way down to the water and sure enough as I got near the boathouse they up and left >N.
