Soil Hill 1800 - 19.15 hrs.
The hill was pleasant enough in the sunshine but spoilt with the cold SE>5 keeping things down.
Another check on the tree line and Ring Ouzel clough found 2 Oystercatchers, 1 Curlew 3 Kestrel
1 distant Wheatear and a few Lapwing but no sign of the target bird Ring Ouzel which, as stated by NK, have more than likely moved on. We,ll have to wait for the next wave now.
Otherwise it was down to Mipits and Skylarks , Woodpigeons and Stock doves and that was that.
These easterlies should fetch some Swallows into the area this coming week.
Nice to meet Wilsden birder Mark Brookes on the hill tonight.
Back to work tomorrow and ready for my usual Monday Osprey, come on Andy !
