After a few interesting text messages this afternoon and evening from Soil Hill I thought it may be worth a last light check so at 1915 hrs off I went. The sun was now down but blue sky held the light a little longer giving me time to do a circuit of the summits and half way down the tree line but unfortunately the hill was,nt playing so I came away with just a few Skylarks, Meadow Pipits and Lapwings. One of the reports was of 3 Wheatear in fields near the hill.
Thanks to all for texts and of course the grapevine.
A dip tonight but I suppose JLs Ring Necked Parakeet is enough excitement for one day.
Talking to the land owner this afternoon the bird has been around at least 3 weeks.
