A not bad day until the rain arrived on a strong SW>5 and increasing late afternoon.
Woodpigeons and Fieldfares were moving >S in half decent numbers during the morning all very low in the SW wind. This movement dried up around 1000 hrs with a count of approx 150 Woodpigs and 100 Fieldfare.
A text from HC at Oxenhope reported 40 Pinkies over Fly Flatts a.m. and these were later picked up by SL lower down the valley. A watch from the garage failed to sight them keeping to the west of me.
Two good birds turned up today with a Ring Ouzel on Soil Hill, NK and a Brambling at Ogden,JL, see their blogs for report and pics.
