The remaining other 2 Reservoirs

Mixenden Res,  dedicated anglers braving the weather
Water gushing in at the north end
Still some rocky shoreline, SW corner
                                      A bleak scene.

1500 hrs and just time to check the remaining 2 reservoirs no done this morning.
The weather  had deteriorated throughout the day and was now blowing near gale force SW>6 with heavy rain showers and darkened skies.
Ogden held the usual Mallards and small gulls but no sign of yesterdays Teal and no Cormorants present.  A few Fieldfare were moving around over the top of the plantation seeking shelter.
On to Mixenden where it was difficult standing on the banking in the wind and driving rain but slightly more sheltered tucked down behind the banking wall in the SW corner.
White horses races across the water which was void of bird life other than 6 BH gulls.
Lesser Black Backed gulls moved overhead very high and >SW whilst 2 Herring gulls were unexpected.
So today I,ve checked all my 6 local reservoirs , there,s 7 with Oxenhope but more time is needed there getting through the locked gates and walking on the banking, and the highlights of all were Teal, Tufted and Cormorant. Not what you call a birders paradise for November. West Yorkshire birding is certainly not for the faint hearted.
The water is well up at the Raggalds Flood again so worth a check in the week if anyone is in the area, just a few Mallard on today.
