After a text this afternoon of once again DF reporting a female Scaup at Fly Flatts I went back there to confirm that as expected the female Tufted I reported this a.m. was in fact the female Scaup.
It flew in at 0915 with 4 Mallards then stayed on its own out in the middle but I was viewing this from up on the road.
By the time I,d got down and placed the Nyjer seed the fog had come in so I dismissed it as a Tufted and came away. Well done once again to DF, try for a hat trick next week.
The Whoopers had left Ogden by 1600hrs but no surprise there with the numbers of people present.
