Queensbury,Shelf Moor, Plenty Lapwings, no Goldies.

                                             Field full of Lapwings

No sign of Golden Plover today

Just 1 Owl present at midday.

A damp grey day with light rain showers and a cold WSW>5.
A few small flocks of Woodpigeons came over this morning >S along with 2 decent flocks of Fieldfares also >S, the latter being re locating birds.
A flying visit to Tracys field at Shelf Moor found around 200 Lapwings , c50 Starling, 5 BH gulls but no sign of the Golden Plovers although I didnt have time to scan the surrounding fields. 1 Snipe showed briefly in the top corner of the field but soon disappeared back into a trench.
