Another check on the Queensbury Lapwings

                           Lapwings moved up a field

                                  No sign of Golden Plovers
Photo taken and sent in by Michael Whitelock of 2 pr Teal at Leeshaw with a
Lapwing and Golden Plover in the foreground.   Thanks for that Michael

A bright day with just a couple of light rain showers p.m.
Woodpigeons were on the move >S early a.m. with one good flock of c150 then smaller flocks drying up by 0815hrs.
A check on the Shelf Moor Lapwing flock at lunch time produced 237 Lapwing, c100 Starling, 8 Jackdaws and 5 Black Headed gulls. The Golden Plovers from a few days ago seemed to have moved on.
All the Lapwing had changed fields and moved one field up in with the horses.
