Queensbury, Skylarks, Redwings and Mipits.

Ogden leg ringed gull taken 05/10/2013  BS
Same bird, same location taken 18/11/2012   BS

A good moving sky today with full cloud cover after a bright start and a sunrise which fortunately did,nt last long,
Meadow Pipits came over in good numbers until 0930hrs which then filtered off although small groups were still coming over up to last light this evening.
Lunchtime in Foxhill park saw 4 Skylark >SW , 7 Redwing >S and 1 Mistle Thrush >W whilst 8 Common gull were on the football pitch.
A near miss of Pinkies this tea time when AC, Calderbirds got a skein over Northowram but going >W which is the wrong direction for Queensbury, all the same I dashed upstairs to scan from the bedroom windows which got me an ear bashing because my tea was on the table.
Nice to see CK at the garage today who,d just returned from a week birding in Norfolk, the highlight being finding his own Firecrest down there. All you need to do now Chris is find one up here.
