Ogden, Fall of Willow Warblers and plenty Bullfinch

Scraggy male Bullfinch in the moult
                                  juv waiting to be fed

Camera struggling to focus in poor light
                                                 Canon 7d  100-400 zoom

Perfect conditions this evening at Ogden with light rain, calm and low cloud base making birding good but photography hard work in the poor light.
All the activity was around passerine alley with a recent fall of Willow Warblers in the willows overhanging the water very mobile acting like birds new in and frantically feeding on the masses of midges present although they all stayed well down in the foliage. A minimum of 16 birds were counted, possibly more but only in this one area.
Long Tailed Tits were again present after an absence with around 12 birds and a party of  9 Bullfinch were busy eating Rowan berries , several being juvs.

A heart stopping experience for a moment when a bright supercillium appeared making thoughts of Yellow Browed Warbler spring to mind until it showed itself to be a very bright Goldcrest.

The water just held the usual BHGs and Mallards and one Heron and a check of the shore line drew a blank.
