Is this the end of the flood ?

Farmer digging a drainage trench through this evening

on the garden feeders today,   through glass

Had to dip on this teatimes birding trip due to wedding rehearsal for 2nd daughters wedding in a couple of weeks time, at least its in June and not on an autumn Saturday.
Just time this evening to shoot up to the Raggalds flood to see a worrying site with the farmer digging what looked like a drainage dyke through to the water. The 2 resident Lapwings were up in the air going crazy.
