A good start off this morning first light with Woodpigeons coming over in good numbers >S and >SE whilst large flocks of Starlings very high up headed >SE in migration mode. Both these movements had ended by 0900hrs.
A customer rang this afternoon saying he had seen a large flock of geese,100+, from Green Lane over lunch time >SW which coincides with DJSs grapevine report of 130 Pinkies over Pellon way also lunchtime.
Thats 2 large skeins over Queensbury in two days, things are looking up.

Midday saw a few Meadow Pipits over >S and 2 Alba Wags >W.
Whilst I was walking up Chapel Lane at tea time a female Sparrowhawk whistled through a group of Starlings and disappeared over the bungalows empty handed.
