Ogden, last light.

                                 The end of evening birding

1 of 5 Goosander in the dark

A quick after work dash to Ogden found the light almost gone after 15 minutes there marking the end of after work birding until March.
Once again hoping for Pinkies over but not to be, in fact the whole area was quiet with only Mallards on the water and small dark shapes skulking about in the undergrowth, mainly Robins and Wrens.
As darkness fell 7 LBBs came over >N closely followed by 5 Goosander heading for the TMR roost.

In the village today most of yesterdays heavy Starling influx had moved on and whilst walking back to work 3 duck sp. flew >W very high and fast looking to the naked eye like Wigeon but could,nt be sure and a single Reed Bunting flew over the garage >SW.
A visit from the local Sparrowhawk to the front garden whilst I was at work where it sat on the top of the Hawthorn bush so instead of getting a photo her indoors banged the window so it wouldnt get any Sparrows, silly woman!
