Queensbury Today

A much quieter day today with some early movement of Mipits but this soon fizzled out. Best group was 23 as I was on the phone to NK early morn.
By midday the skies were quiet other than 2 Alba Wagtails >W and 3 Swallows skimming low over Foxhill >S.
Only 4 Common gulls were present in the park.
Negative news on the Yellow Browed Warbler today after a search by NK and DS although this doesnt  necessarily mean its gone. In the poor conditions it could possibly have moved deeper into the wood or skulking somewhere in the undergrowth, hopefully it will re appear so the lads that have tried hard to find it get a sighting.
Wallpapering tonight so no after work birding for me but luckily it was dark skies and heavy rain so I didnt feel as bad. Should have started this decorating at the weekend but got involved with a YBW.
