Looking down the calder valley
Soil Hill on the horizon
Halfway to the Withins
Mixenden Res . 1 Hour after this photo an Osprey flew over. DJS.
3 wet boys.
Heavy rain and slight SW >3 easing slightly by 0915hrs.
Walked from Ogden to the Withins with the hope of Wheatear, Ring Ouzel, Stonechat , none of which were present.
As the rain eased with the south westerly the skies looked just right for Osprey and with the view I had down the valley I thought I was in with a chance. Image my thoughts when I just arrived home to receive a phone call from DJS saying an Osprey was heading up the valley Id just been looking down. A great tick from your kitchen window Dave, well spotted and thanks for the quick call.
