The big thaw

Thawed well today but still a long way to go

A bright sunny day with clear blue skies and plenty warm sunshine.
A treacherous walk to work with everything shot ice but this soon started to soften once the sun got up.
Plenty work today after yesterdays snow disaster only to have a power cut from 0930 to 1330hrs with everything out of action but caught up a bit after a busy afternoon and I,ll do the left overs Saturday morning ,so tomorrow Sunday and Monday are birding mornings.
Ive now got Wheatear and Hirundines to catch up on which hopefully will show over the weekend unless those Calder lads hog them all for themselves down at EGP.
Goldfinch were the bird of the day today with several in the area mostly up singing and a party of 9 flew over the garage just before lunch.
Hope you all have a good birding Easter and just go steady on the eggs.
