Tracys Wheatears
Went down at 1830hrs to investigate Tracys Wheatears, see entry below, and was immediately gobsmacked as I looked into the field as I pulled up in the car. 6 birds were visible but as I looked across the field they were everywhere. I counted at least 21 with the naked eye as Id only taken the camera for a flying visit .
No wonder we can,t find any on the moors, they,re all in this field.
The field is on the Brighouse Denholme road between Queensbury and Shelf by the big trailer layby, part of the fields where the Lapwings and Goldies hang out.
Thanks for a marvellous report Tracy.
